My mission is to build economies that allow humanity to thrive in collaboration with the natural world. I develop and finance sustainable food, ecosystem restoration, and conservation projects + tell the stories of the people and organizations leading the revival of land stewardship. Raised in Los Angeles, I now live in Mexico and speak both English and Spanish.
I believe that the climate crisis is really a socio-economic crisis that can be solved by aligning economic security with ecological prosperity. I also believe that we already know how to solve it. Ancestral lifeways teach us how to shape our economies to mutually flourish with nature. The modern economy tells us, incorrectly, that we are separate and superior to the rest of life. By healing how we treat the land and other life forms, we can heal our relationship with the natural world and the sense of separation within ourselves.
My prior career spanned investing, finance, management, and consulting from coffeeshops to startups, SMBs, and public companies. Previously, I led on-farm production and supply chain investments for Chipotle's venture capital fund, worked as a private equity investor with Serent Capital, and advised Latin American entrepreneurs on raising capital while living in Argentina and Mexico. I began my career as an investment banker at Lazard after graduating from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics & Economics.
